Cooling relief for back, neck & shoulder and legs & feet. Deep Freeze Cold Gel IS NOT suitable for use in pregnancy.

Can you use Deep Freeze Cold Gel during pregnancy/ breastfeeding?

NO, this is because the new formulation contains peppermint oil which cannot be used during pregnancy. The old formulation contained levomenthol which is safe to use during pregnancy.

Can Deep Freeze Cold Gel be used by diabetics?

Before you use Deep Freeze Cold Gel you should speak to your Doctor or Pharmacist if you are taking other regular medication. This includes medication prescribed by your Doctor and medicines you have bought without a prescription.

Can Deep Freeze Cold Gel be used at the same time as oral painkillers/medicines?

Yes, Deep Freeze Cold Gel can be used with oral medications – but not at the same time as topical treatment.

Why have you changed Deep Freeze Cold Gel?

The MHRA (UK Medicines Authority) have made a change to the classification of medical device products containing Levomenthol. In response to this Mentholatum has had to reformulate Deep Freeze Cold Gel, to now include Peppermint Oil, in place of Levomenthol.

 Why does it smell different?

This is down to the introduction of Peppermint Oil as a new fragrance.

Why is the gel no longer blue?

We strive to make our products more natural – and have taken the decision to remove the blue dye from our formulation.

Is Deep Freeze Cold Gel vegan?

Yes, as the product does not contain any animal derived ingredients.
